UPDATE: Hi there, future Abby here. I just updated this pattern after making some slight improvements. The resulting ornament will not look different, but the shape of the pudding will look a little smoother. I also updated the pattern slightly on the custard so that the edges don’t curl in as much. Hi friends! Because I’ve been spending so much time working on the website, I’m feeling extremely behind on everything. I mean, it’s basically already Christmas and I have yet to post anything Christmassy 🙁
So, since I’ve just finished up with the site, I decided to dig up an old pattern I made last year and update that for today’s post. I’ve never had Christmas pudding before, but I’ve always been fascinated by it because it looks very Christmassy and evokes warm and fuzzy feelings.
Christmas Pudding Ornament Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

I used the Knitpicks Shine Sport yarn for this ornament because I love how smooth it crochets up. The yarn also looks slightly glossy, which makes the ornaments look a little bit more polished.
The difficulty level of this pattern is Easy and this pattern is written in US crochet terminology.

Assembly
- Pin the centre of the custard piece onto the top of the pudding. Pin the little dips from the custard to the pudding to position as well. Sew the custard in place.
- Pin the leaves onto the top of the custard and sew into place. You can sew them in symmetrically, or you can do what I did and line them up to form an “L”.
- Pin the berry onto the leaves and sew in place. You can choose to make as many berries as you want, but I chose to go with one to keep it simple and I really like the way it looks that way.
- If you are making this into an ornament, take a piece of the Cream yarn and thread it through the top. Tie off to create a loop.
You have just completed your Christmas Pudding ornament! Make one or make a bunch to give away! These are so quick and easy to make and make for great gifts.
