What is O+H?
Ollie + Holly is a fun personal project that I am challenging myself to this year. The plan is to make as many amigurumi patterns as I can. If you would like to make some of the toys I have created, you can find free patterns on the blog. If you like what I’m doing and would like to show your support, please consider purchasing an inexpensive pattern from the shop.
Who runs O+H?
Hello! My name is Abby, a Taiwanese Canadian crochet designer living in the city of Toronto with my husband Henry and my dog Ollie. I quit my cooking job in late 2016 to start something of my own that would challenge me, allow me to be creative, and make me happy. I’m pretty sure this is it.
I taught myself how to crochet a while back and in 2018 created my first amigurumi toy. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the art of amigurumi and creating amigurumi patterns. I learned how to make amigurumi through following free patterns, so as a way of giving back, I’ll be posting some free patterns here and there on my blog.
A huge part of what I love about crocheting is that I am able to multi-task whenever I am doing it. This allows me to do something else I love at the same time- binge watch shows. I love anime, documentaries and basically whatever Netflix tells me I should watch.
When I’m not crocheting, I’m spending time with my dog Ollie. I love making dog snoods for him to wear and hope to be able to dress other dogs up in the future as well.
