What is O+H?
I started Ollie + Holly in early 2019 to create a space online where I could share my amigurumi creations with the world.
You can find free Amigurumi Patterns on the blog. I learned how to make amigurumi through other people’s free patterns, so I believe that sharing knowledge is important and can help the community grow. If you like what I’m doing and would like to show your support, please consider purchasing an inexpensive pattern from the shop.
Who runs O+H?
Hello! My name is Abby, a Taiwanese Canadian crochet designer living in the city of Toronto with my husband Henry and my dog Ollie. I quit my cooking job in late 2016 to start something of my own that would challenge me, allow me to be creative, and make me happy. I’m pretty sure this is it.
I taught myself how to crochet a while back and in 2018 I created my first amigurumi toy. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the art of amigurumi and creating amigurumi patterns.
A huge part of what I love about crocheting is that I am able to multi-task whenever I am doing it. This allows me to do something else I love at the same time- binge watch shows. I love anime, documentaries and basically whatever Netflix tells me I should watch.
When I’m not crocheting, I’m spending time with my dog Ollie. I love making dog snoods for him to wear. And contrary to popular belief, he actually loves his snoods (he just has a suuuper grumpy face in general).
